Booknotes:

We currently offer online links to booknotes that can be found accross the web. Booknotes (n) are defined as short but comprehensive reviews of popular literary works. Typically included in each booknote are chapter summaries, character analysis, and study questions.

First appearing in the 1950's the booknotes market was dominated by two popular titles -- Monarch Notes and Cliffs Notes. These handy paperback publications quickly became a hit with students everywhere. The Monarch Notes appeared with a red and black jacket cover and Cliffs Notes were yellow with black stripes. As the years went by, these book summaries came to be know by many different names as more and more companies rushed to produce there own booknotes. Today, the market is chuck full of companies both large and small, that produce these guides. Accordingly, they are known as chapter summaries, study guides, or chapter notes -- but "booknotes" still remains the industry standard name.

Accross the web, sometimes in obscure places and sometimes on large sites, these reviews can be found. We have spent countless hours searching for this information and have created a comprehensive index herein for your use. We now list hundreds of titles and authors including: The Scarlet Letter, The Lord of the Flies, The Great Gatsby, Harry Potter, Julius Ceaser, 1985, Hamlet, Macbeth, The Odyssey, Jane Eyre, The Catcher in the Rye, just to name a few...
